Conflict Free Diamonds

At Andersson Stone, every diamond we offer is guaranteed to be conflict-free and ethically sourced. We work exclusively with diamonds certified by the world’s most respected grading institutes — GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and AGS (American Gem Society) — giving you complete confidence in both quality and origin.

Beyond the traditional four Cs — Cut, Clarity, Color, and Carat — we believe in a fifth and equally important C: Conflict-Free.

Conflict diamonds, often referred to as blood diamonds, originate from regions affected by armed conflict and have historically been used to finance wars and severe human suffering. These issues have been linked to parts of Africa, including Angola, Sierra Leone, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and other regions where diamond revenues were misused to fund violence.

To combat this, the Kimberley Process was established in May 2000. This international initiative brought together diamond-producing countries, governments, and the diamond industry to prevent conflict diamonds from entering the global market. Through strict monitoring — from rough diamonds to finished stones — the process ensures transparency and accountability across the supply chain.

Today, the Kimberley Process includes 54 members, representing 81 countries, and covers approximately 99.8% of all rough diamonds traded worldwide.

At Andersson Stone, we strictly source our diamonds only from trusted suppliers who comply fully with these standards and whose supply chains are verified to avoid any connection to conflict zones. We are committed to responsible sourcing and to ensuring that every diamond we sell reflects both beauty and integrity.
